Vijay Antony is an Indian music composer, playback singer, actor and producer working in the Tamil and Telugu film industries. Vijay Antony made his debuts as music director in 2005 in the movie Sukran which was directed by SA Chandrasekar and as a lead actor in 2012 in the movie Naan. He is the first Indian to win the 2009 Cannes Golden Lion for Nakka Mukka advertising film (The Times of India) in the Best Music category. Nakka Mukka propelled his fame and the song was played in the 2011 Cricket World Cup.
Vijay Antony was born in Nagercoil, Tamilnadu. He has a sister who is 2 years younger than him. He lost his Father when he was just 7 Years old. After his father passed away, his mother started took up Government job to run the family. His early days was the toughest phase in his life. After all the struggles and sacrifices he started tasting the success gradually.
Vijay Antony did his schooling in Nagercoil. He did BSc in Physics from St Xavier’s college in Tirunelveli. After that Vijay Antony joined Visual Communications course at Loyola, Chennai. While he as studying, he did a part-time job, training in sound engineering with a studio in Kodambakkam.
